Any ball to his left hand side he struggles big time.
His confidence is so low that he's a massive burden all I hope is that Adrian doesn't pick up an injury.

Re: Hart or Adrian?
I've watched every game this season and can't recall ever seeing a 30yr old keeper look so old and immobile. He looks as if he has lead in his boots, generally the only saves he makes are ones he can tip over the bar without needing to dive left or right. I had my doubts over Adrian and generally thought that the Hart of 3yrs ago was a fantastic signing and a massive upgrade on Adrian. Unfortunately since Guardiola threw him to the side, he was been a shadow of himself. He genuinely looks as if he is just returning for a career threatening knee injury that has kept him out for a year.

Pound for pound, excluding the odd back up keeper (Sasa Ilic etc) I can't recall a worse first team keeper we've had in the last 25yrs. Randolph was better, and he was pretty bad. He will either swallow his pride and be a half decent Championship player, or move to China or the US and accept his career as a big time player is over.

Re: Hart or Adrian?

And I do think Hart should have reacted to the goal at Arsenal. It happened in his 6m box and he should have dived as soon as the ball dropped between all the players. He didn't. He froze. I think Adrian would have dived for it and then rolled around like he'd been shot. Fuck it even Randolph would have dived for it!

Spot on!! He was gutless. Could even have come for the cross and if not dived into the boots as the ball landed.

He was getting loads of abuse right behind the goal afterwards.

Re: Hart or Adrian?
Keeper's like all players have periods of cracking form or a run of average shite.

Currently most of us on here are probably on better form than Hart, so not even worthy of a debate.

People really still debating this? Adrian all day long now lock.

Re: Hart or Adrian?
Glad we've only got him on loan, massively on the decline. Although I imagine we could only cancel it in January if another club were willing to take him on till the end of the season or buy him outright (unlikely).

Would be best all round though. We could use his sizeable wage elsewhere in the squad and he could be number one somewhere else and probably keep his place for England.

Re: Hart or Adrian?
I saw it this morning - it's doing the rounds of Twitter. It would be funny except I can't help but feel a bit sorry for Joe Hart. He isn't a bad keeper but has slipped off his pedestal a bit. Adrian is definitely number one at the moment.

And I do think Hart should have reacted to the goal at Arsenal. It happened in his 6m box and he should have dived as soon as the ball dropped between all the players. He didn't. He froze. Usually dont feel sorry for footballers with their lifestyle and the amount they earn.

But you can see how much Hart cares and it is eating him away.

Feel for the guy as I think his World Cup place is now on the line and he seems a shadow of his former self.

Seemed to be something going on after the goal went in against Arsenal. He was copping some stick from fans behind the goal and he was definitely saying something back to them.

I agree with you the goal was not his fault, Reid was weak on the initial cross and then did not react when the ball dropped and Hart could do nothing.

But jesus christ what the hell was he doing when he came out and hacked the guy down on the edge of the box when the ball was going closer to the corner flag than our goal, he was about 1/2 foot from conceeding a needless penalty.

Re: Hart or Adrian?
Would appear that the plan of bringing in Hart as a "signal of intent" has back fired.

He is no better than what we had last season. Should of saved the Money and spent it more wisely. Is a worry for England that England's Number 1 is being kept out of the side by Spain's Number 4 Keeper.
Hopefully we don't sign him up at the end of the season

Re: Hart or Adrian?
Hart did nothing wrong tonight. People coated him for the goal when it wasn't his fault. We lost because we never looked like scoring at any point because we couldn't string two passes together and we have a threadbare squad where the owners sold loads of players and brought very few in. The cunts.

Re: Hart or Adrian?
Hart looks completely shot. It is quite sad really as he is only 30 which is nothing for a keeper.

I thought hart was shit when we signed him but he's actually a lot worse....awful keeper and a typical Sullivan player

Re: Hart or Adrian?
Gareth Southgate must be shitting himself

Hart seems a shadow of the player he was and is out of our team.
Fraser Forster has looked like a wardrobe in gloves this season ... shit work v Chelsea at a free kick last week added to some major errors.
Pickford is still raw and Stoke have let in the most goals in the Premier League with Jack Butland in goal.

Re: Hart or Adrian?
Hart's form was poor and the Man City game was a painless way to give Adrian a chance.
He has followed it up with 3 clean sheets so has the shirt.
There is no sensible reason to drop him for Joe Hart.
With 20/20 hindsight Hart currently appears an unnecessary & expensive loan and you can see why we didn't have much competition.
